BIRD COMES HOME AND RULES THE ROOST

The earliest Christmas present delivered this year was to be win number 13 of GT World Challenge racer Frank Bird’s still-young rallying career. Victory at Donington Park went some way to make up for his and co-driver Jack Morton’s retirement on their WRC debut, Rally Monza, last month.

His Italian detour clashed with the second event of the MNCRC calendar at Cadwell Park which, following Bird’s success in round one at Oulton Park’s Neil Howard Stages, opened the door for Neil Roskell to take up the mantle as the ex-Formula Renault racer Bird’s title threat
