MEASUREMENTS

Approximately 22cm/ 8½in high.

MATERIALS

1 x 100g (282m) ball of Emu Classic DK (100% acrylic) in Pecan (113) and small amounts in each of Red (Pepper Red 119), White (101) and Black (123)*. Pair of 3.25mm (No. 10) knitting needles; washable toy stuffing; stitch holders. Yarn available from theknittingnetwork.co.uk.

TENSION

25 stitches and 35 rows, to 10 x 10cm, over stocking stitch, using 3.25mm needles.

ABBREVIATIONS

knit; purl; , stitch(es); together; slip 1 st, k 1 st, pass slipped st over knitted st (to decrease 1 st); stocking stitch (k on right side and p on wrong side); make 1 st by picking up loop lying between needles and take yarn between needles to front of work after k st and to back of work after p st, slip next st onto right-hand needle, take yarn back to its original position then place the slipped st back onto left-hand needle. Next time you work across wrapped st, lift up the loop (the wrap) laying at base of stitch and work the wrap together with the stitch.
