A Treasured Tradition

In the 1960s, Sundays were reserved for visiting relatives. If we weren’t traveling to a relative’s house, they were coming to ours. It was tradition, after Sunday Mass, to gather the family into our station wagon and head out to visit relatives all over Milwaukee County. My siblings and I were delighted to know we would be spending the day with our many cousins.
