Homecoming in My Hometown

Growing up on a farm in central Illinois near the small town of Cullom has provided me with a lifetime of happy childhood memories. Life in the 1940s and ’50s was a carefree time filled with simple pleasures and lasting values.

Although I lived on a farm, I spent much of my childhood with my grandparents who lived in town. I think everybody inwhen you needed help or support. Somebody was always there to lend a hand. However, if you were doing something you shouldn't be doing (like riding your bicycle on the main highway) your parents were sure to find out about it.
