When fun, outgoing and full-of-life Chris, then 41, came into my and my daughter’s lives in September 2008, he changed everything. I’d been a single parent since Ronah, then seven, had been tiny, and having Chris in our lives filled a void for both of us. He was a father figure to her and the loving partner I’d been searching for.
