Of those finishers, 34 standard ‘stock’ machines secured Premier Awards, with 33 non-stock machines gaining maximum marks, with W T Goodcock (or perhaps ‘Woodcock’ as his name is written both ways) on the right in our photograph, among the latter group, his performance earning him a Special Certificate of Merit. He rode a 3½hp Ariel.
