Sketchbook Travels

In August 2021, I made an excited returned to Brooklands for its annual motorcycle bash, a relaxed affair with plenty to see and experience. The event is always well attended by both the public and the ever-active Brooklands Motorcycle Team, the people who keep the museum’s ever-growing collection of motorcycles going.

With unpredictable showers throughout the day, I spent most of my time under the welcome shelter of the motorcycle team’s gazebos, which held a fascinating range of veteran and classic motorcycles. Even though I have drawn some of the mainstays of the Brooklands collection, I have by no means sketched them all – I doubt I ever will, due to new donations rolling into the museum.
