years of keeping birds, this is the first year that I have experienced a loss that, I believe, can be attributed to the loud bangs from fireworks. While this is probably quite remarkable, especially in recent years where it seems everyone has them regularly, it’s made even more so by the fact that we used to live next to a football club, which held an impressive display annually – until recently when the ground was sold to build houses on.
