GO SEE Australia THERE IS PLENTY OF RIDING TO BE DONE AT HOME

AUSTRALIA IS OPENING UP; it looks as if the nightmare is beginning to fade. This is a good time to look at the basics of motorcycle travel in this country. Well, at least the parts of the country that are opening up! I thought I’d try to help you put together some travel plans. The tips below may seem a bit basic, but everybody has to start somewhere.

Australian Capital Territory

It has been said (possibly by me) that the ACT is more of a place to visit than a place to live. Hundreds of politicians (sorry, parliamentarians) agree. If you do visit there is plenty to do and see.

The Territory is quite small at 2358 square kilometres or 910 square miles, but there is one good sealed road of considerable length: it leads from Mt Stromlo Observatory to Cotter Dam and on to Tharwa, passing the Deep Space Communications Complex and Tidbinbilla’s Nature Reserve.
