BEHIND THE SCENES CAMPSITE SECRETS

All of us will have stayed on a campsite at one time or another, and it’s very clear that a great deal of work goes on behind the scenes: from cleaning the toilets to staffing reception or cutting the grass, there’s a lot to attend to.

We wanted to find out exactly what goes on during a typical day at a campsite, so we paid a (pre-pandemic) visit to our Top 100 Sites Guide overall winner, family-run Eye Kettleby Lakes, in Leicestershire.

Once there, our team took on some of the many roles that were required – no matter how challenging – to really live the campsite life. Here’s how they got on…
