Something new

Growing up I would love to stay active.

I joined a dance club, which I attended three times a week and I would also compete in regional competitions. I loved dressing up and performing.

But, even though I enjoyed regularly taking part in sports, I was a lot bigger than the other girls in my class.

I was 5’11 and a dress size 14 at age 13 and although this wasn’t big by any means I stuck out like a sore thumb compared to all the petite girls in my team.

And as a result I started feeling self-conscious.
