‘I BOXED AWAY MY STRESS’

‘I work in public relations and was always stressed without much of a work-life balance, but one). I soon became addicted to the challenge of the sport and felt a new drive. After a few months, I was developing very quickly and tried a white-collar charity boxing match. Not long after, I joined the England Boxing amateur system as a competitive boxer. I was undefeated in the amateurs and am waiting for it to get going again post -pandemic. I’m turning professional and want to become a world-champion professional boxer. During fights, you’re constantly trying to out-think your opponent, so you have to switch off from everything else. It’s helped me find a better work-life balance and a greater purpose, and has also made me so much stronger – both mentally and physically.’
