y his own admission, Pakistan’s music sensation Ali Sethi was in a “performing state of mind” when he landed in New York City on March 10, 2020. He had already been touring in Pakistan, with another 20 shows lined up in the US. His band was meant to accompany him four days later. “Two days in, the US shut down. And that was that,” Sethi tells us over a video call. Thankfully, Sethi wasn’t a complete stranger in the city that.
