EDITOR’S NOTE: A respected contributor to Model Airplane News, Columnist George Leu was a longtime personal friend. George’s involvement in serious scale models and competition went back decades and in the early days, he was involved with the Top Gun Scale Invitational static scale judging. Over the years he also wrote many scale related articles. George passed away in February, 2008, and this article was his last, published in our July 2008 issue.
