CALM YOUR BABY’S COLIC

A colicky baby can shatter even the calmest of nerves. Those bouts of inconsolable crying that last for hours, with no apparent trigger, can leave previously sane parents climbing the walls. But don’t panic. He’s not seriously ill – and it certainly won’t cause him any longterm damage. “Although colic can feel as though it’s going on forever, most parents find that symptoms disappear as quickly as they started,” UK-based GP Dr Philippa Ridley. In the meantime, there are things you can do to soothe him.
