STOP USING THE AUTO MODE FOREVER!

When you first start out in photography, you’ll probably have your camera on the Auto mode. If you don’t know much about taking pictures, it will seem safest to leave decisions to the camera. And that’s fine while you’re learning – the camera will take a decent shot.

But keeping your camera on auto prevents you from having any creative control and, on top of that, the camera doesn’t always make the right creative decision. In this article I’ll show you some simple techniques to help stop you from needing to use the Auto mode at all.

FIRST THINGS FIRST…

If you’ve only ever used your camera on Auto before, don’t feel you need to rush off and try everything in Manual mode immediately!
