am a tight arse. There, I’ve admitted it. But one thing I’ve realised with outdoors equipment over the years is that, to a large extent, you get what you pay for. Going cheap frequently means inferior gear that ends up not being worthwhile, and in the end you buy the more expensive, more suitable item anyway; the old saying “A poor man buys twice” is all too true.
