Even before COVID-19 was a thing, river cruises had fairly lengthy booking windows. These have, understandably, increased over the last 12 months as travellers defer the resumption of their international expeditions until borders reopen and vaccination programs take hold. Strong demand for 2022 prompted many river cruise operators to commence bookings earlier than usual. And companies say sailings for the end of 2021, into 2022 and even 2023, are starting to fill up.
