SAMSON DEBUTS AT SCAMPSTON HALL

Two Aveling & Porter engines, each unique in their own ways, were on show at the Yorkshire Traction Engine Rally held near Malton, North Yorkshire, in early September, reports Derek Rayner.

A post on social media by the show organiser, Richard Ashworth () on the Thursday evening prior to the event was said to have gone viral - the sole surviving genuine Aveling showman’s engine - No. 4885 of 1901.
