    art of an army family, I grew up in lots of different places but my best childhood memories are of time spent on the beach at Brighton where Dad is from, surrounded by John Masefield – I learnt it when I was at boarding school and it has never left me. I always knew I wanted to live by the sea and my husband is from Kent and wanted us to return to the countryside. Whitstable is the best of both, and we moved in October 2019.
