It was 1998. Smriti Malhotra Irani posed on the Femina Miss India pageant stage for the cameras and the audience. She didn’t make it to the top 10, but she never looked back either. Her journey upwards and onwards has taken her from the world of glamour and the TV industry to the highways of Indian politics.
