You will need

■ Fabric A (dark-blue fabric scraps, with the largest being a 6in x 7in rectangle) – Approx. 12in x 36in in total

■ Fabric B (light-blue fabric scraps) – Approx. 2in x 16in in total

■ Fabric scraps in rainbow colours for the appliqué – Most sizes can be less than 3in x 4in, but the largest piece is for the train track and needs to be 7in x 2in

■ Variegated, metallic and plain threads in a variety of shades

■ Stabiliser – 12in x 12in

■ Freezer paper – 6in x 8in

■ Zip – 12in long

■ Backing fabric – 14in x 18in

■ 2mm piping cord – 50in

■ Bias-cut fabric in a contrasting colour – 2in x 50in

■ Cushion inner – 12in x 12in

■ Appliqué templates
