    We’re used to waiting just six months between the hugely popular Fordmeet shows at Squires Café, east of Leeds, but incredibly the September 2021 event was the first to take place since April 2019. Bad weather and something called Covid was to blame for the agonising and numerous postponements and then at the last minute it looked like drivers panic-buying petrol might jinx this latest meet, too.

    Fortunately, that wasn’t the case and by 9 am the vast showfield of the one-day event
