Balenciaga – THE NEW ORDER

his was our show of the season with so much fabulous – a wonderful meeting point between the vision of the original late Cristóbal Balenciaga and the fresh reverence of current creative director Demna Gvasalia. It was the 50th couture collection for the house since 1968. Gvasalia is our fashion god and he gave us an exceptional, thoughtful collection with graceful tailoring and sharp cutting playing on the original essential proportions, all worn by cleverly cast models. Philip Treacy hats and elbow-length opera gloves answered the yearning we have to dress up, while the salons in which the models walked werepre-album release event number three) closed this epic fashion moment.
