    The rapid growth in the popularity of Extreme Long Range (ELR) shooting, as well as long-range gong shoots, Veldskiet, Precision Rifle Series SA and Namibia (PRS) and NRL SA events, has seen a skyrocketing demand for recoil mitigation devices and, more so than any other, muzzle brakes.

    All the above shooting styles, from prone to more dynamic, have a common challenge whereby the recoil (the force and length of the recoil pulse) generated by discharging a rifle system disrupts the shooter’s shooting position and sight picture enough to lose sight of the point of impact (POI) and its relation to point of aim (POA) when the shot was fired. This concept is referred to as shot accountability.
