SHAHID KAPOOR SAYS YES TO YODHA

Shashank Khaitan who’s known for his films like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Dhadak is gearing up for his next project, which is said to be an action-drama tentatively titled Yodha. Shahid Kapoor has been signed for the film but we hear that he wasn’t the only choice. The makers had first approached Ranbir Kapoor, who turned it down as he already has projects like Shamshera and Luv Ranjan’s next on his plate and didn’t want to clutter his diary. Vicky Kaushal and Ayushmann Khurrana too turned it down for reasons of their own. Shahid we hear, loved the script and agreed to come on board after listening to the narration. Yodha is Shahid’s second collaboration with Karan Johar after Shandaar and his first project with Shashank. The director was supposed to begin Mr Lele with Varun Dhawan but the project got cancelled after Varun and he had creative differences.

MEANWHILE…

Shashank Khaitan may have found the leading lady for Yodha, starring Shahid Kapoor. According to reports, Shashank feels Disha Patani is perfect for the role. According to a source, the film is an actioner but the female has an interesting arc. Shashank has narrated the film to the actress, who has shown an interest in the project. but she hasn’t signed on the dotted line as yet.
