I WENT to the Brisbane Truck Show. I can’t get impressed by all the shiny stuff crammed with electronic gimmicks. Gimmicks? The latest wizardry needs further study as to its practicability – technological stuff that applies the brakes when technology sees an accident situation developing, for instance.

I’ve seen a report where the brains’ trust has had a jail sentence reversed because it was able to convince the beak that an empty dog actually did lock up and do a pendulum swing into an oncoming coach. And I’m told Facebook ran hot with other drivers reporting similar outcomes, luckily with less horrendous outcomes.
