n a frosty winter morning down at the great Tokoroa Memorial Sports Grounds I stood on the sidelines watching Nate, my older brother (by 15 months) play rugby for Southern United Rugby Football Club (SURF). Every single Saturday I’d beg my mum to let me play! I was still too young. At only four years old I was determined to get out on that field.
