WHEN YOUR BODY GOES Into Lockdown

It’s been 42 days since I’ve gone for a run. Not because of a COVID-19 lockdown. Although it is a lockdown in a way – one imposed by my body, which has decided it has had enough of this running caper!

Usually so abiding when it comes to ridiculously long runs and back-to-back trail events, my body has been a train wreck in slow motion for months. I rejected all the warning signs. Normalised the pain. Until … KERRRANNGGGGG! Hello, tibial stress fracture! Hamstring tendonitis!
