Unfortunately, face masks have become an essential part of our daily attire. But in order to prevent the spread of the virus, we have to suffer the downsides: not being able to breathe in fresh air, and the effects on our skin of constantly having something pressed against it. Doctors have been noticing such an influx of patients with acne caused by the masks, particularly around the mouth and chin, that it’s given rise to a name: maskne.
