The Fascinating and Exciting Year Ahead

Happy New Year of 2022! What a year we have to look forward to! 2022 will be jam-packed with astrological events, some of which may impact you and your life in unique ways. For one thing, 2022 will be a year with more than the average amount of retrograde planetary motion, as all three of the inner planets (Mercury, Venus, and Mars), will be retrograde at various times, while the outer planets Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto will go through their usual months-long retrogrades as well. Retrograde periods seem to have a difficult reputation with some, but there is another school of thought that sees the energy of a retrograde planet as more laid-back, allowing us time to think and plan at our leisure in matters affected by the planet in question. Mercury generally turns retrograde three times each year, but in 2022 he will grace us with the beginning of a fourth retrograde in mid-December. Venus will begin the year retrograde, and will be moving in that direction until January 29, while Mars will start moving backward on October 30, and will remain so into January of 2023.

There will be four eclipses in 2022, two solar and two lunar, touching on Earth and Water signs. Eclipse energy will put a strong spotlight on areas of your life in which you may need to make some changes, so keep that in mind.
