Unearthing the archaeology of a band is something that definitely appeals to the Indiana Joneses lurking just below the surface of hardcore fans. Sifting through ancient studio sessions, early demos and lo-fi rehearsal/writing tapes, its galvanising solo bass intro is hard to miss. While it’s not exactly it’s nevertheless ample evidence of a prodigious musicality that refuses to simply sit at the back. Elsewhere, Squire’s galvanising notes buzz with a McCartney-esque melodicism.
