TAKE A DEEP BREATH
As a keen scuba diver, I’d travelled to Deep Dive Dubai for a diving fix with a difference. The world’s deepest pool, which opened in July 2021, contains 14 million litres of fresh water – along with a car, motorbike, pool table, park bench and apartment block (complete with bookshelves).
Write it off as a gimmick at your peril. This 60-metre pool will be used as a training centre for technical divers, and the wide range of activities on offer includes everything from try dives to PADI scuba diving courses, along with freediving lessons and courses.
