Whether she’s playing Desna on a nail artist and leader of a criminal empire; or Deputy Raineesha Williams on the role that made her famous, that Nash was able to be seen in a more dramatic light. She earned two Emmy nominations for her performance, and it led to her collaboration with Ava DuVernay in and which earned Nash her third Emmy nomination.
