He’s what you would call a silently successful star with a squeaky-clean image—hardly any controversies. And many may equate this as his secret to his staying power. But, in a line of work that constantly influences one to elevate themselves, Sam equates his success instead to the people around him.
“It’s the guidance of the people around me that has really shaped me, they’ve taught me, they’ve helped me stay grounded. They’ve also pushed me out of my comfort zone, not only to be a better artist, but also to be a better person. Because I’m someone who’s always struggled with low self esteem and low self confidence. So the people around me, they really were the ones who believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself.”
