Going from peak health to constant pain over the past three years has meant drastic life changes for Lily Earle. Since being diagnosed with mast cell activation syndrome, an autoimmune condition, coupled with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, a disorder of connective tissues, she is learning to live with and manage a range of symptoms, including chronic migraines.

In search of pain relief, the 30-year-old, who spent the first part of her career as a content creator for Liz Earle Wellbeing magazine, turned to new technology from South Korea. And following in the footsteps of her entrepreneurial mum, Lily is the founder and distributor for CellReturn UK, whose devices use near-infrared and LED technology to help alleviate pain from health conditions such as migraines, pelvic inflammation and hair loss.

Here, Lily talks about discovering the state-of-the-art gadgets, controlling her anxiety and ditching “toxic positivity”.
