Main drivers of higher food inflation in August under scrutiny

In August, an inflation rate of 4,9% was recorded, well within the target range of 3% to 6%, but 0,4 percentage points above the midpoint of 4,5% and higher than expected. Analysts had anticipated that these figures would start declining during the second half of 2021.
