True, Country Calendar has periodically made the flight east, and the place has occasionally featured on feelgood meet-the-locals and foodie shows over the years.
But new documentary isn’t just there to talk fishing or farming in its seven episodes. It’s an attempt to discuss the dark, complicated past of the place and what that means for the 600-plus people who live there now.
