Lighting is an important element of decorating, and although the primary function of a chandelier is to illuminate a room or space, its continual evolution, over hundreds of years, has more than surpassed this fundamentally simple purpose. We now have access to an infinite variety of designs made from a plethora of different materials. But where did the first chandeliers originate?
