Are you looking to get into hard enduro or just want to update your hard enduro ride, but are not sure if a 300cc or 250cc two-stroke is your best option? I get this question quite a lot. Seeing as I have access to ADB’s Sherco 250 SE-R that is my current long term test bike and also ADB’s Beta RR300 that Editor Mitch was using as his long term test bike, I decided to spend a day on both of them and divulge my findings.

I know people reading this will already be wondering why I am only comparing a 250cc and 300cc two stroke. Well the truth is you only need to look at any hard enduro entry list to see 98% of the motorcycles on the start line are either 250cc or 300cc two-strokes. Four-strokes are very capable machines on any terrain
