‘The kitchen cabinets are hand-crafted and the worktop is real quartz, so we didn’t want to just rip out good-quality workmanship. I didn’t like the reddish wood, so I painted them in this green colour, made up to my own spec at the local paint shop. I updated the knobs to add a luxe feel, then I went for Farrow and Ball’s Cinder Rose for the ceiling to warm the space up.
