Sepp Dietrich’s Diamonds

At the MAX Show in October 2013, the Hamburg-based militaria dealer H. Weitze had the B-Type Oak Leaves with Swords and Diamonds of Oberst-Gruppenführer Josef “Sepp” Dietrich for sale. It did not take long for the spectacular set to be sold to an American collector.

Together with the Diamonds came a set of over 30 unpublished photographs of Sepp Dietrich and his family. Among them were the only known photographs of Dietrich wearing the Diamonds.
