Making up for lost time

KICK OFF: The last time we spoke you told us how you want to prove yourself at Vitoria but you never got the chance. What happened there and what went on behind the scenes prior to your exit?

At Vitoria, in my first season I started in the B-team, everything was good, and I spent six months there and then got promoted to the firstteam. Everything went well and I played a few [11] games. I was prepared for the upcoming season as I renewed my contract. The next season started well, it was a new coach, but I started well in pre-season and there were plans for me to be a starter, but then I got an injury and had surgery on my ankle – that’s where things unravelled. That whole season I didn’t play. When I came back, they demoted me to the B-team [to regain match fitness] and I ended up spending two seasons there. Even during those two seasons, I had injuries,
