GOING HEAVY OVER SHALLOW GROUND

WHERE I LIVE IN MY little quiet corner of South Devon, I couldn’t ask for much more as regards the coastline.

There is so much diversity, which offers so many fishing possibilities, and as a lure angler it’s so exciting just walking the coastal paths in search of that perfect looking gulley or awesome shallow reef ground.

Bass are my real passion and it’s the reason I begun this lure fishing adventure. The thought of catching the awesome bass on super light gear and shiny lures is just heart stopping.

Despite the amount of diversity there is no more exciting way for me to target bass than fishing really shallow reef ground, in particular the small tidal reefs. It’s awesome going to a spot at a low tide and looking for little gullies and holding spots for the fish, then returning the next day over high tide, knowing
