My husband is embarrassed about past comments
Q My husband has become seriously depressed since our son left to set up home with his partner. He can’t forgive himself for things he’d said in the past that must have hurt our boy. He’d made comments about gay people and went on doing so until I told him in no uncertain terms he had to grow up as our son was gay. It totally shook him and I have to say he’s turned his attitudes and his behaviour around over the past few years. He’s become so embarrassed by what he was like. He’d love to visit them and offer the sort of help
