Motorhoming after 70

Reaching 70 years of age doesn’t mean you suddenly change your approach to living. However, if you’re a motorhomer, there’s the possibility of the DVLA changing your approach significantly. Seventy is the age you have to renew your driving licence and it imposes additional constraints upon you. Since driving is such an integral part of our activity, we need to be mindful of our driving licence restrictions, including those that arise from possible health issues, which are more likely to occur with increasing frequency as we age.

RENEWAL AT 70

Every driver has to renew their driving licence at 70 and thereafter you must renew it every three years, instead of the normal 10-year intervals. The DVLA should send you a reminder to renew about 90 days before your seventieth birthday.
