From a galaxy far, far away – well, Japan – comes Star Wars: Visions, a new and very unique animation anthology. Nine short stories, produced by seven different Japanese anime studios, each reaching into the furthest corners of the Star Wars universe. In truth, it’s not quite as out there as it sounds. “I say this all the time, we love Japanese animation at Lucasfilm,” says Visions executive producer James Waugh. “If you’re a fan of Clone Wars, I’m sure you’ve seen the influence.”
