The room seemed to shrink, my heart beat faster.
Tightening the grip on my new hubby Joshua’s hand, I blinked in disbelief.
‘You have glioblastoma,’ the doctor said.
Aggressive cancer in the brain.
‘There’s a low survival rate,’ she continued– another terrifying blow.
Next to me, my mum Lila, then 60, started crying, while Joshua, 32, clenched my hand tighter still.
All I felt was sick.
How can this be happening? It was July 2017, Joshua and I were newlyweds.
