Walking along the edge of the small market town of Godalming in Surrey, there’s no indication that a rather remarkable garden is to be found behind one of the half-dozen modest cottages on this quiet lane. The unassuming view at the front, is in contrast to the expansive garden beyond. Richly diverse in plants, fruit and vegetables, this garden peaks in autumn, when a feast of floral abundance and trees laden with apples and pears can be enjoyed.
