Blackpool quartet veer away from post-rock roots on album two.
Most bands would baulk at the prospect of canning an entire album’s worth of material only to start over afresh, but Blanket had no such qualms. Not satisfied with how the tracks they’d blended together, the Blackpool-quartet instead ploughed on with fresh material, written during lockdown, and the result is a step up for the group – and a step away from their post-rock foundations.
